First Pres youth Ministry exist to reach non-believing students in Schools with the good news of Jesus Christ, connect believing students together in love, equip them to grow in their relationship with Christ, discover and use their gifts in ministry, and to honor God in worship and their lives. All this is achieved through Schools Evangelism, Youth Conferences & Seminars plus Youth-Camp in December. You can join us in any of those activities. Email De Youth
  • Women's Ministry
    This ministry is under the umbrella of WIC (Women in the Church). It is also a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Uganda (PCU). Our leaders work to organize mentoring relationships, fellowships, studies, and service projects for all the ladies at FirstPres. They also assist the elders and deacons in the nurturing and mercy ministries.
  • Children Ministry
Unlike other Ministries, Children Ministry at First Pres is quite interesting. These are covenantal children from the Church. They meet on sunday's for classes & fellowship.
  • Singing Ministry
We believe God has called First Pres to worship Him. Therefore we want God to be the evident center of all that we do in our worship services. We seek to provide an experience of both the glory and enjoyment of God. Our Sunday morning services can be characterized as a blend between traditional and contemporary, leaning more toward the traditional. We enjoy having hymn songs and praise services. Our leadership focuses mainly on expository preaching that is relevant to our worshippers’ lives. Although we recognize that God can only be worshipped “in spirit and truth,” we also recognize that worship can be evangelistic (Acts 16:25,29,30); therefore, we seek to make both the preaching and directions for worship accessible to Christians and non-Christians alike.
A Note from the Music Director
  • Choir practice is Thursday & Friday at 5:30 PM. All singers, are invited to come sing in the Choir. God has given you the gift of music and He is calling you to use that ability to serve Him here at First Pres Church. If you have the desire to serve the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and body....then come join the choir and share your voice as we seek to honor Him and for His glory. Dave & Grace kabaale.
