Ministry The evangelism department at First Pres involves a couple of groups with a general and ultimate purpose of winning souls for Christ. Under this ministry you will find MISSION POSSIBLE, a church evangelistic team that always teams up with other believers to make Christ known from Jerusalem, Judea, samaria and to the uttermost. Soldiers Of Christ; This is a another youth evangelistic team from first Pres that targets and reaches the youth in High Schools, Youth Societies & Tertiary institutions with the life transforming truth of our Perfect Redeemer Lord Jesus Christ. Descipleship group: This involves all members in the above groups, and it purposely exist to prepare and equip younger people for effective ministry. Any questions about the Evangelism, contact the Missions pastor Pastor Patrick -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deaconal/ Mercy Ministry First Pres Deaconal Ministry is intended to serve the needy Community starting from the inside. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Married Couple Ministry First Pres Married Couples exist to reach non-believing Couples with the good news of Jesus Christ, connect believing Couple together in love, equip them to grow in their relationship with Christ, discover and use their gifts in ministry, and to honor God in worship and in their marriages with their children. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Men Ministry Men of the Covenant Is a Men Ministry in the Church focused at reaching unreached men with the good news of Jesus Christ, connect believing men together in love, equip them to grow in their relationship with Christ, discover and use their gifts in ministry, and to honor God in worship and their lives. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Youth Ministry First Pres youth Ministry exist to reach non-believing students in Schools with the good news of Jesus Christ, connect believing students together in love, equip them to grow in their relationship with Christ, discover and use their gifts in ministry, and to honor God in worship and their lives. All this is achieved through Schools Evangelism, Youth Conferences & Seminars plus Youth-Camp in December. You can join us in any of those activities. Email De Youth -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Women's Ministry This ministry is under the umbrella ofWIC (Women in the Church). It is also a ministry of the Presbyterian Church in Uganda (PCU). Our leaders work to organize mentoring relationships, fellowships, studies, and service projects for all the ladies at FirstPres. They also assist the elders and deacons in the nurturing and mercy ministries. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Children Ministry Unlike other Ministries, Children Ministry at First Pres is quite interesting. These are covenantal children from the Church. They meet on saturday's & sunday's for classes & fellowship. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Singing Ministry We believe God has called First Pres to worship Him. Therefore we want God to be the evident center of all that we do in our worship services. We seek to provide an experience of both the glory and enjoyment of God. Our Sunday morning services can be characterized as a blend between traditional and contemporary, leaning more toward the traditional. We enjoy having hymn songs and praise services. Our leadership focuses mainly on expository preaching that is relevant to our worshippers lives. Although we recognize that God can only be worshipped in spirit and truth, we also recognize that worship can be evangelistic (Acts 16:25,29,30); therefore, we seek to make both the preaching and directions for worship accessible to Christians and non-Christians alike. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Note from the Choir Director Rehearsal is Thursday & Friday at 5:30 PM. All singers, are invited to come sing in the Choir. God has given you the gift of music and He is calling you to use that ability to serve Him here at First Pres Church.
